Local Transport: There are a range of taxi, Uber and bus providers. Bus lines for concerts in the area will pick you up from the front gates.
Local Explore: With over 25 acres to explore here’s what you might enjoy:
- Leisurely stroll the vineyard rows (11 acres) or whole property (25+ acres).
- Meander around the surrounding dams and view the cattle ranch (over 1000 acres) with the Brokenback Ranges looking over you.
- In the morning, watch the graceful hot air balloons float by (and over) the front of the property.
- Admiring our stunning ‘huge horizon’ sunset vista, enjoy a glass of some of the best of the Hunter’s wines and locally made cheeses on the grass at your picnic table.
- Experience the abundant flora and fauna which includes scores of birdlife including Kookaburras, Owl, Galahs, Ducks, Swans, Ibis, Waterfowl and more. Fauna includes a local mob of Kangaroos, Wallabies, Possums, Sugar Gliders, Wombats, our surrounding variety of cows, steer and many more.
- Take a walk or jog along our sealed and unsealed country roads with other vineyards and properties.

- Brokenwood They are a major name in the region, and the venue is impressive. Spectacular wines are on offer, especially the reserves that cellar staff can provide
- Constable Estate An amazing view on offer, while the wines on offer hold their own
- exp. A gastro’s delight, where for experience value the chef serves direct to your table.
- Il Cacciatore Wonderful Italian, served by true expatriates. Listen to Italian music, or their own radio in fact! Gaze down the valley to spectacular views of the region and the Brockenback Ranges.
- Goldfish A lovely wine bar at Roche Estate that also serves great food dish’s, and open on Mondays and Tuesdays too.
- Margan A restaurant from Broke that has exceptional food of the highest quality and lovely views.
- Muse Kitchen A well known Bistro in the Hunter that has a lovely setting to enjoy their café and bistro food offerings.
- Oakvale Provides wonderful offerings in the form of well structured Rose, Verdhello, Semillon, Bellini, Cider and more.
- Pierre’s Some distance from Pokolbin but their sparkling is apparently worth it!
- Restaurant Botanica Home grown offerings on offer in a relaxed environment, with paddock to plate produce supported by a solid wine pairing.
- Royal Federal Hotel A little drive away, but try the smoked meat offerings, mouth watering brisket that is straight out of Texas, plus other pub favourites in a small country town.
- Scarborough Winery Co. Our own wine partner, based on Hermitage Road and set on its beautiful estates with a cellar door, Scarborough are arguably one of, if not the finest winery in the Hunter Valley.
- Gundog Estate Matt Burton is winemaker at this fantastic estate, with a cellar door experience to match. This was directly recommended by the Urban Winery in Sydney.
- Usher Tinkler Stepping inside the renovated church provides true atmosphere to then experience outstanding wine offerings, paired with gourmet food offerings to enjoy at your own special place.
- Vinden Estate A solid wine offering that is sure not to disappoint across their entire range.

- Hunter Valley Gardens A real garden experience, with mature growth options that are rather spectacular. Also with a ferris wheel, food options close by (including ice cream), and amazing light displays for Christmas and also Christmas in July.
- Hunter Valley Zoo Perfect for the up close and personal experiences that both children and adults enjoy. A really pleasurable experience in a well-run zoo with kangaroos (you can hand feed them), lions, giraffes, camels, emu’s and more.
- Hunter Distillery In house sprit production and some fine brews for a different experience that wineries.
- Binnorie Dairy Some perfect cheese offerings to enjoy with your local wines.
